Privacy Policy
How UNGANCO collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
Effective date: 7 July 2026
Entity: UNGANCO Pty Ltd | ABN 46 612 790 093
1. About this policy
UNGANCO ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit our website, submit an enquiry, or otherwise interact with us. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, and how you can access, correct, or make a complaint about the handling of your personal information. This policy applies to unganco.com.au and to personal information collected in the course of our business as an engineering consultancy and Asia Pacific distributor of the MentorAPM asset management platform. It does not cover asset or infrastructure data processed within MentorAPM on behalf of our clients, which is governed by the relevant client agreement.
2. What personal information we collect
We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our business functions, including: contact details (full name, organisation, role or title, email address, and phone number) when you submit our online enquiry form or otherwise contact us; enquiry content (the area of interest you select and any message you provide); and technical and usage information (IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and referring pages) collected automatically through website analytics. We do not knowingly collect sensitive information through our website, and we ask that you do not include sensitive information in enquiry messages.
3. How we collect personal information
We collect personal information directly from you when you complete our Enquire form, email us, or otherwise contact us. We also collect information automatically via cookies and similar technologies when you browse our website.
4. Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses analytics tools, including Google Analytics and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, to help us understand how visitors use our site so we can improve its content and measure the effectiveness of our marketing. These tools may place cookies on your device and collect information such as your IP address, general location, device type, and browsing behaviour. Some of these providers are based overseas (see Section 6). You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some website functionality but will not prevent you from contacting us. We do not currently operate an email marketing or newsletter program. If we introduce one in future, we will update this policy and seek your consent where required before adding you to any mailing list.
5. Why we collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information
We collect, hold, use, and disclose personal information to: respond to your enquiry and provide information about our services and MentorAPM; arrange and follow up on demonstrations, meetings, and proposals; manage our business relationship with clients, partners, and prospective clients; improve our website and marketing; and comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. Who we disclose personal information to
We may disclose personal information to: our personnel, on a need-to-know basis, to respond to your enquiry; service providers who help us operate our website and business, including our website hosting provider, our email delivery provider (Resend), and analytics providers (Google Analytics, LinkedIn) — these providers are based overseas, primarily the United States, and process information on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms; and regulatory or law enforcement bodies where required or authorised by law. Where personal information is disclosed to overseas recipients, we take reasonable steps to ensure those recipients handle it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
7. Automated decision-making
Our website does not currently use automated decision-making to make decisions that significantly affect an individual's rights or interests — our enquiry form is reviewed and responded to by a person. MentorAPM's MentorLens™ tool uses AI to assess the physical condition of infrastructure assets from photographs; this is an assessment of asset condition, not a decision about an individual, and operates within the scope of our services to clients under their own agreements. If this changes, we will update this policy to explain how any such system works and how you can request a human review of a decision that affects you.
8. Data quality and security
We take reasonable steps to ensure the personal information we hold is accurate, complete, and up to date, and to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.
9. Access and correction
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details in Section 11. We will respond within a reasonable time.
10. How to make a complaint
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992.
